Background


This community service activity is carried out by individuals or groups with the aim of making a real contribution to the common good without expecting material rewards. This activity benefits not only the community as beneficiaries, but also the participants, who gain experience, learning, and developing soft skills. Community service provides a means to implement knowledge gained in college, cultivate empathy and social responsibility, while simultaneously strengthening the relationship between the university and the community as part of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education).

Financial Management

This training aims to help batik studio owners understand how to manage their finances in accordance with Sharia principles. This training will enable them to manage income, expenses, and profits more effectively and efficiently, based on Islamic values.

This program aims to equip batik entrepreneurs with easy-to-understand financial record-keeping skills. This record-keeping helps them monitor business conditions, determine profits and losses, and maintain financial transparency in accordance with Sharia principles.

Sanggar batik is Located in the Seberang area of ​​Jambi City, the studio is one of the centers for preserving local culture that still survives today. This place is not only a batik production space but also a forum for passing on the values, skills, and identity of the Jambi people, each motif rich with philosophical meaning. Distinctive motifs such as Durian Pecah, Kapal Sanggat, Angso Duo, and Kaco Piring depict the richness of nature, history, and local wisdom passed down from generation to generation. In this studio, batik artisans work meticulously, applying hot wax to white cloth to create beautiful, artistic patterns. Besides preserving tradition, the studio also plays a vital economic role. Its products are sought after not only by local residents but also by tourists and collectors from outside the region. Thus, the Seberang Kota Jambi batik studio is not just a place to create art but also a symbol of the independence, creativity, and resilience of Jambi culture in the face of changing times.
