The global halal industry has emerged as one of the most dynamic sectors of the

world economy, encompassing halal food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fashion,

tourism, Islamic finance, digital commerce, and halal logistics. Driven by a growing Muslim population, increasing consumer awareness, and expanding international trade, the halal ecosystem has become a strategic engine for economic growth and sustainable development across both Muslim-majority and non-Muslim-majority countries.

The industry is currently undergoing profound transformation through technological innovation, digitalization, and the increasing adoption of sustainability principles. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, fintech, and digital certification systems are reshaping halal assurance, transparency, and market access. At the same time, the halal industry is expected to address global challenges related to environmental sustainability, inclusive economic participation, resilient supply chains, and equitable development. However, significant issues remain, including regulatory fragmentation, standard harmonization, financing constraints, and unequal opportunities for MSMEs and developing economies.

In response to these opportunities and challenges, the International Conference on “Advancing the Global Halal Industry: Innovation, Sustainability, and Inclusive Islamic Economic Development” aims to provide a global platform for scholars, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and halal institutions to exchange knowledge, present research, and strengthen international collaboration. The conference seeks to promote innovative, sustainable, and inclusive approaches that enhance the competitiveness and resilience of the halal industry while advancing Islamic economic development that contributes to social justice, shared prosperity, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
